So, lovely DAHEIM friends, the duck and venison have been ordered from our friendly Bethnal Green butcher, the chestnuts are being peeled (yes, we are actually doing that ourselves and it bloody hurts), the stollen has been baked, the fruits are being dried and we are actually getting pretty excited all round..Yes, you have guessed it – Our Christmas market pop-up is near!
To get you all excited too, here is the menu for Sunday, 9th December:
And the best thing about this DAHEIM is that you will actually be able to eat the finest skiing hut treats AND do some christmas shopping at the same time…..
Our friend Ahmed at Seventh Tree Flowers has made some beautiful Christmas wreaths for all of you to buy. The perfect Christmas deco, or lovely present- festive shatterproof baubles wrapped in delicate organza fabric, nestling alongside a mass of natural plain and/or painted Austriaca pinecones and natural Cotton flowers. There are no perishable items used, so it still will look as good in 5 years time as it does now. (We wished we could say the same about our food.)
And we are not stopping at these gorgeous wreaths…our talented friend Jessica West has illustrated some lovely smilling tree cards and hand painted sheets of wrapping paper for you all. As it is so hard to find great Christmas cards, we have our friend Ursula Gock on that job too….She has made these fab kitsch cards with some German decoupagé and handpainted some plastic ‘gingerbread’ heart boxes to hide your presents in….And to share a few of our favourite German Christmas things with you, we will be selling some pretty soaps from Manufactum and some old-fashioned wooden German christmas decorations.
So, come by, have some Glühwein, enjoy some skiing hut treats and go treasure hunting at our little Christmas market. See you all at G.Kelly’s! Christmas hooray!
